Michael Bloom is a screenwriter/producer based in New York.
His writing work includes Rare Birds (Tribeca) and Working Summer (NoBudge 2024 Films of the Year). Michael's feature screenplay Nancy, From Now On won the Akiva Goldsman Prize in Screenwriting and was a semi-finalist at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Michael is also an alumni of the Johnny Mercer Writers Grove. 
His producing credits includes i’m really scared i’m dying tbh (Palm Springs, Short of the Week, Rooftop), Clarities (Slamdance), The Weird Guy, and the feature documentary Living History which is currently in post-production. Michael also produced Working Summer & Rare Birds.
Michael is also the co-founder of Modern Silent Shorts. Along side Lily Weisberg, he has helped produce 12 original silent short films for the initiative over the last 3 years. Modern Silents Shorts has been featured in The New York Times and NPR.
Michael's personal directing works include In The Middle of the Day, In The Middle of the Week, Our Town Episodes 1, 2, & 3, and WYD?; all of which were made in collaboration with Aedan Roney. He also edited Niall Cunningham's Noumena (Palm Springs, IFF Boston).
