Michael Bloom is a screenwriter/producer based in New York.

His writing work includes Working Summer (Raindance, Director’s Notes, Montclair, NoBudge 2024 Films of the Year) and the forthcoming narrative short Rare Birds (starring Zoe Ziegler & Tony Macht). Michael's feature screenplay Nancy, From Now On won the Akiva Goldsman Prize in Screenwriting and was a semi-finalist at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Michael is also an alumni of the Johnny Mercer Writers Grove. 

His producing work includes i’m really scared i’m dying tbh (Palm Springs, Rooftop Summer Series, Nitehawk FF audience award), Tate’s Parade (NoBudge), and the feature documentary Living History which is currently in post-production. Michael also produced Working Summer & Rare Birds.

Michael is also the co-founder of Modern Silent Shorts. Along side Lily Weisberg, he was helped produce 10 original silent short films for the initiative over the last 2 years. 

Michael's personal directing works include In The Middle of the Day, In The Middle of the Week, Our Town Episodes 1, 2, & 3, and WYD?; all of which were made in collaboration with Aedan Roney.
